NEW SELF LEARNING PACK - AVAILABLE NOW Available to download is our new Self Learning Pack - An Introduction to Child Protection. This packs aims to ensure that all staff / volunteers working with children and young people in North Ayrshire, have as a minimum, a foundation knowledge of child protection. This comprehensive pack offers key information and exercises for completion with the added bonus of a training certificate that shows that staff / volunteers have taken that FIRST STEP in gaining essential knowledge in this area. TRAINING PROGRAMME 08-09 Our new training programme which offers free training to all agencies, statutory and voluntary, who work with children and young people in North Ayrshire. There are a range of courses available at Levels 1-4 for those with little or no experience in child protection through to specialist training for those with more specific training needs. NEW COURSES New courses include Cultural Awareness in Child Protection, Working with Confidence in Community Groups, Dangers of the Internet, Understanding Children's Sexual Behaviour and Working with Unco-operative Families. HOW TO GET ON TRAINING Please see attached copies of NA CPC 08-09 Training Programme, which give full details of the courses available. Participants should normally be 18 years or over to attend our courses, anyone between 16 - 18 years should contact Caren McLean as detailed below.
