Men working to end violence against women

1st May 2010

Men are invited to come along to a Curry Night on Monday 17 May in the Ardrossan Rugby Club, Sorbie Road, Ardrossan at 7.00pm. It’s completely free of charge and there will be surprise special guests and information on the White Ribbon Campaign. You will also get the chance to sign a pledge and join men all over the world to help end violence against women.

The White Ribbon Scotland campaign gives men in Scotland a chance to speak out against domestic abuse. Approximately 1,000 domestic abuse incidents are reported every week across the country. Most cases involve men's violence against women. Of course, most men in Scotland are not violent, but violence against women won’t end until all men play their part.

If you want to attend the curry night, please email madams@north-ayrshire.gov.uk.
